East Notes: Larkin, Wahlstrom, Marlies, Robitaille
The status of Dylan Larkin with the Detroit Red Wings remains a major point of interest following the departure of Steve Yzerman from the general manager position. While Larkin previously requested a trade, his future with the team is currently uncertain. Reports indicate that the request has not been officially withdrawn, but there is speculation that a change in leadership could influence his decision to stay or go.

The Toronto Marlies have also made significant front-office changes. Chris Bourque has been named assistant general manager after serving as the director of college scouting and recruitment for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The team also added Denver Manderson and Greg Moore to the coaching staff.
Finally, the Hershey Bears have brought back a familiar face. Louis Robitaille has been hired as an assistant coach for the 2026-27 season. Robitaille brings history to the role as a former player who helped the team secure the Calder Cup in 2006.
