Preorders for Samsung’s new Z Fold and Flip 8 come with up to $350 in gift cards
Samsung has officially opened preorders for the new Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 ahead of their August 7th retail launch. The latest lineup introduces a significant change in the flagship series, offering two distinct book-style foldables. The Z Fold 8 Ultra targets productivity users, while the standard Z Fold 8 is geared toward those prioritizing entertainment and media consumption.
All three models run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and ship with Android 17 and One UI 9. Samsung has updated the internal components across the board, including new battery technology and refined camera systems. The Z Flip 8 remains the most compact option in the range, now featuring a thinner chassis and a more functional cover screen that allows for app access without opening the device.
Retailers are currently offering aggressive incentives to drive early adoption. Amazon is providing up to $350 in gift cards with qualifying preorders, while Best Buy is attaching a $200 gift card to purchases. Customers who order directly through the Samsung website can receive up to $200 in store credit, with additional savings available through specific payment codes.
Major mobile carriers have also introduced trade-in promotions to offset the entry prices. T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T are offering significant discounts on the devices with eligible trade-ins on premium unlimited data plans. These credits are typically applied over a 36-month period, reducing the monthly hardware cost for subscribers.
Interested buyers can view these configurations on the official product pages now. The devices officially hit the market on August 7th, marking the latest update to Samsung's folding phone strategy.
