Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro opened the D23 fan event in Anaheim, California, marking the start of a massive slate of upcoming entertainment. Thousands of attendees gathered at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center to witness updates from the company’s film studios, streaming platforms, and live stage productions.
D’Amaro addressed the crowd, emphasizing the direct connection between Disney and its global audience. He noted that nearly half a million people occupy company parks and cruise ships at any given moment, and the brand continues to reach billions of people through movies, television, and Broadway productions. This interaction forms the basis of the company’s long-term strategy for content creation.
