Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially crossed the $2 billion mark at the global box office. This milestone comes after only three weeks in theaters, solidifying the film’s position as a major commercial success for Marvel and its parent company, Disney.
The production stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker and continues the character's strong run in cinemas. Data shows the film earned $785.8 million in North America, while international markets contributed more than $1.2 billion to the total. The worldwide figure now stands at $2.022 billion.
In terms of speed, the film ranks as the second-fastest in history to reach this threshold. Only 2019's Avengers: Endgame hit the $2 billion milestone more quickly, taking 11 days to achieve the feat. This latest installment joins a small group of eight films that have surpassed the $2 billion mark, including Titanic, Avatar, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The film maintained momentum throughout its run, staying at the number one spot at the domestic box office during its third weekend. It previously set a record for the biggest domestic opening weekend in history with $360 million, narrowly beating the record set by Avengers: Endgame. While the film is currently tracking behind the total North American record of $936 million held by The Force Awakens, its performance across the last three weeks ranks it as one of the most successful movies of the decade alongside Avatar: The Way of Water and Ne Zha 2.
