Kurt Sutter recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming FX series Legends, a project led by Charlie Hunnam that reunites the main cast of Sons of Anarchy. Although Sutter created the original motorcycle drama, he clarified that he is not involved in this new show. He confirmed that Hunnam approached him early in the development process to seek his blessing, which he provided without hesitation. The project is described as a meta take on the legacy of the original series.

The premise of Legends follows the cast as they reunite at a fan convention, only to find the boundaries between their personal lives and their past roles blurring in the face of a dangerous real-world situation. While Sutter noted that the new series does not pull from the original mythology or characters, he expressed his full support for the production. His wife, Katey Sagal, is part of the cast, and Sutter mentioned he has seen early versions of the script.

Sutter also took a moment to address his past relationship with FX, speaking positively about his history with the network and its executives. After a turbulent departure from the Mayans M.C. project years ago, his comments suggest a cooling of tensions and a focus on the next generation of creative work from his former colleagues. Legends is produced by FX Productions and 20th Television and will be available on FX and Hulu.
