Viva La Dough Opening Kosher Cafe in Midtown Manhattan
Viva La Dough is set to open a new location in Midtown Manhattan. This expansion marks the fifth storefront for the French-inspired patisserie, which began as a seasonal pop-up stall near Macy's Herald Square less than a year ago. The brand has grown rapidly with sites in Brooklyn, Lakewood, and Borough Park, as well as a recent addition in the Financial District.
The new shop at 525 7th Avenue targets an area with high foot traffic from office workers, commuters, and tourists. While the neighborhood is busy, sit-down kosher dining has historically been limited to quick-service counters. The new cafe aims to provide a space for breakfast, lunch, and coffee that the local crowd currently lacks.
The menu focuses on the signature croissant pizza, a baked item featuring laminated dough topped with varieties such as vodka sauce or truffle mushroom. The bakery also produces detailed pastry creations that have contributed to its viral status on social media platforms. Beyond these items, the cafe will serve salads, sandwiches, and omelettes to cater to the lunch demand.
Every Viva La Dough location operates as Kosher Dairy and Cholov Yisroel. The supervision agency for this specific Midtown site will be announced closer to the grand opening. Construction is currently in progress, with the team targeting a launch for late summer or early fall.
