Connor Mosack snags best finish of Truck Series career at IRP
Connor Mosack achieved a career-best performance during Friday night's Craftsman Truck Series TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, Mosack finished in second place. While he trailed winner Layne Riggs by 1.148 seconds, Mosack showed consistent speed throughout the race, particularly during the final long stint.
This runner-up finish marks the most successful outing for Mosack across his 77 starts in the national touring divisions. He topped the practice charts earlier in the day, proving his equipment and team were prepared for the challenge. Mosack credited the setup work of crew chief Brian Pattie for the performance, noting the truck performed exactly as he needed it to once it got up to speed.
Mosack is currently competing in a part-time schedule for the 2026 season. This race represented his seventh start out of 16 events. Despite the challenges of maintaining rhythm on a partial schedule, he has secured four top-10 finishes this year. This latest result matches his total top-10 count from his full-time 2025 campaign.
Looking ahead, Mosack remains focused on his remaining five scheduled starts for the year. He stated that the result proves his ability to contend with series champions and established short-track veterans. With his next race set for New Hampshire Motor Speedway in four weeks, Mosack expects to carry this momentum through the remainder of the autumn calendar.
