Nick Sanchez to drive for Spire in NASCAR Truck start at IRP
Nick Sanchez is set to return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this weekend at Indianapolis Raceway Park. He will take the wheel of the No. 77 Chevrolet fielded by Spire Motorsports for the event.
This appearance marks his first start in the series for the 2026 season. Sanchez enters the race with significant experience, having made 47 previous starts in the division. His resume includes victories at Daytona and Charlotte, both occurring during the 2024 campaign. He has also demonstrated consistency at the IRP track, previously recording finishes of 11th and 10th.
The current year has been a period of adjustment for Sanchez. He began the season with AM Racing before the team ceased operations. He subsequently completed select races with Peterson Racing and maintains a part-time schedule in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series, where he secured a win at Atlanta last year.
Spire Motorsports has rotated several drivers through the No. 77 truck throughout the 2026 season. The roster has included Carson Hocevar, Parker Kligerman, Justin Marks, Jesse Love, and Connor Zilisch. Hocevar remains the only driver to secure a win in this entry this year, having reached victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway.
