NASCAR star Ricky Stenhouse Jr. makes pit stop in Maine

NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. visited Portland on Tuesday for his first trip to Maine. The racer faced some travel delays during his arrival but successfully navigated his way to a local staple to experience the state's signature dish.

Stenhouse spent time at Luke's Lobster, where he learned the preparation process for a traditional Maine lobster roll. After mastering the technique, he sampled the finished product as part of his visit. This serves as a brief break from his competition schedule.

Stenhouse is currently preparing for the upcoming Dollar Tree 301 race in New Hampshire, scheduled for August 23. He noted that racing at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway presents a significant challenge for drivers.

This trip marks the first time the veteran NASCAR driver has spent time in Maine. While he remains focused on the upcoming race, he used his limited downtime to engage with the local culture in Portland.
