Saints' Chris Olave signing four-year extension worth up to $132M

The New Orleans Saints have secured a major part of their offensive future. Wide receiver Chris Olave is signing a four-year contract extension worth up to $132 million. The deal includes $90 million in guaranteed money and keeps the standout pass catcher with the team through the 2030 season.

This agreement concludes a negotiation process that began last year. Olave entered this training camp on the final year of his previous deal, having been selected as a first-round pick in 2022. While he participated in training camp practices during the talks, he had been limited to individual drills and walk-throughs to manage the business side of the negotiations.

Saints head coach Kellen Moore acknowledged the situation, noting that communication between the team and the player remained steady throughout the process. The deal is the most significant contract the organization has awarded a wide receiver since Michael Thomas signed his extension in 2019.

Olave returns to the field fully cleared after a health scare last season involving a blood clot. He successfully navigated his recovery and showed strong form during the 2025 campaign, recording 100 receptions for 1,163 yards and nine touchdowns. General manager Mickey Loomis praised Olave for his professional conduct during both the contract talks and his health recovery. The team expects him to remain a focal point of the offense for years to come.
