Beach Boys cancel concerts through September 3, including Meadow Brook
The Beach Boys have officially canceled their scheduled performances through September 3, 2026. This sudden hiatus includes the highly anticipated show at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre that was set for August 15. The band, currently led by original member Mike Love, stated that the break is necessary for the group to recharge after an extensive touring schedule.
The tour has been focused on celebrating the 60th anniversary of the classic album Pet Sounds alongside the 250th anniversary of the United States. While some tour stops are labeled as postponed, the Meadow Brook date is listed as a full cancellation. Representatives for the venue confirmed that ticket holders can receive refunds at the original point of purchase.
Other affected events include a performance scheduled for August 6 at Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids. The status of that show remains uncertain at this time. The group plans to resume their tour in late September with upcoming dates in West Springfield and North Myrtle Beach, followed by performances at Disney World in November.
Despite the temporary gap in the schedule, the band expressed gratitude for the fans they have seen throughout the year. The group characterized the upcoming fall dates as a way to finish their touring commitments for the season. For those holding tickets for canceled performances, checking with specific venue box offices remains the best way to secure refunds or updates on potential rescheduling.
